Monterey Grain Festival

Description:

Join us for the Second Annual Monterey Grain Festival, a free, family-friendly weekend celebrating community, local food, and hands-on learning! Supported in part by a grant from the Monterey Cultural Council (a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council).

Saturday, October 10:
• 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM | Bread Camp: Hands-on sourdough workshop led by Trevor Hurst. Learn sourdough fundamentals and shape loaves for Sunday’s bake. Limited spots available!
• 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM | “Liquid Bread” Presentation & Tasting: Master brewer Sarah Real of Hot Plate Brewing Co. presents a talk and guided tasting featuring our very own Bidwell’s Brew.
• 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM | Focaccia: Sarah North of Found Bread serving fresh focaccia.
• 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Bonfire & Food: Bonfire, stick bread, plus focaccia and beer available for sale.

Sunday, October 11:
• 11:00 AM | Community Bread Bake: Start of the community bread bake.
• 11:30 AM | Butter Aerobics: Make butter with Kevin West.
• 1:00 PM | Brewer’s Stewers Community Lunch: Bring a homemade stew to share!
• 2:00 PM | Games: Afternoon games.
• 4:00 PM | Clean Up
