ADA & Accessibility

• Parking – there is an HP parking area designated closest to the door
  

• Entrance access – the path from HP parking to the front door is level, paved, and approximately 70′ long. It leads to a level concrete pad at the front door, with no steps or ramps to negotiate. Both inner and outer front doors are full-width, wheelchair friendly doors.
  

• Interior – all activities are on the first (main) floor; no stairs are involved. The floor surface is new smooth hardwood flooring. There is no carpeting.
  

• Accessible bathroom is reached through a door from the kitchenette. It was designed and built following ADA specs for wheelchair turning radius, placement of fixtures, grab bars, etc.
  

• Service animals are the only animals permitted inside the MCC.
  

• Assisted listening – we provide an assisted listening system for certain types of events, such as talks, presentations, concerts, etc. You may request the use of a portable receiver with headset to better hear sounds picked up by a microphone and broadcast in the room.
  

• Medical emergencies and assistance – call 911 from the phone in the southeast corner of the room (to your left as you come in the front door). We have a small first-aid kit on hand, on the phone table. We have AED equipment.
